Well Darian, let me be the first to say I love you and what you do for our community and in fact Americans as a whole. In the short time that I have been reading your blog, I have been inspired, inspired to stand up a little prouder and stronger and louder, inspired to fight for a common cause. I must admit that I haven't always been a supporter of the right to marry of same sex couples. I still worry that a religious institution may be someday forced to marry someone that goes against what that particular religion teaches and that has concerned me. However; again listing to you and reading more information I can now say I support the right of other to marry if they choose. While I can no longer do anything about that here in Michigan I can and have added my support financially to the cause in California. Keep doing what you do. Stay strong. Stay Positive. Keep fighting.
At times it may seems that you are just a hammer knocking against a boulder however the blows are working cracking underneath where you can see them. In time they will become apparent. I'm one of those cracks and know I can lend myself to help crack the rock of discrimination in this country.

I KNOW THATS RIGHT DARIAN BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH PEOPLE MAY TRY TO KNOCK YOU DOWN IF YOU JUST HOLD ON GOD IS ALWAYS BRING YOU THRU MAKING THE HATERZ MAD AS HELL BECAUSE WE GOT TO MARRY OUR PARTNERS AND LIVE THE LIFE WE DESERVE.

Darian you talk about how much in love you are and offer up so much advice to those who aren't in a relationship "dont hate you can have one too!"
So GET MARRIED already!
GET MARRIED so that other black gay people can have more visible successful black gay marriages to look and say
"We can do this and this isn't just a white gay thing afterall!"
In the end, that does more for black gay marriage than you walking 100 miles just to garner publicity from MTV for Darian Aaron's resume
or doing a reality show with the boyfriend on display so Keith Boykin can transition to celebrity.
Get married ! (unless of course these relationships are more business than personal)
Golly Darian, I'm surprised you don't understand that.

Thanks for your comment but I think you missed the point of the post(or.I misunderstood your interpretation). Marriage is definitely in my future, however I don't believe that it's a decision that should be made quickly in order to beat the bigots to the punch before marriage bans are enforced. When I get married I want it to be for life and so does Trey.
The post was simply a shout out to my haters since they seem to be coming out of the woodwork like termites.

I don't even have time to acknowledge haters. You know what you're here to do. Anyone spending too much time trying to knock you off your game doesn't have a strong enough game of their own.

that's right Darian! speak the truth...marriage is a huge step for anyone gay or straight...take your time, you and trey will decide when the time is right and when it is right don't forget to invite your readers:) by the way I thought you were so cute on that Arizona interview.

Go 'head boy! It's good to see an Afro-American out and visible on this issue right along side the White folks. I have heard some GBM folks think marriage is irrelevant in the GBM community or a "White thing". In terms of LGBT issues we Blacks folks are behind the times, so your visibility and presence are important to the community. I pray your strength and conviction (and the support of your loves ones) will lead you on. -aSeaNamedSolaris
