Magic City weekend in Birmingham, Alabama will never be the same after the first scheduled annual SGL party takes place during the traditional hetero weekend of events.

The Magic City Classic is a tradition in the south. Every year at the end of October rival schools Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University meet at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama to face off in one of the most highly anticipated games of the season.

Personally I was always more interested in seeing the bands perform and critiquing the the choreography of the dancers.

But the real show is bound to begin when hundreds of brothas gather in Birmingham of all places to celebrate their blacknessand their sexuality.

In all of the time I've spent in Alabama I've never heard of a publicized party for SGL brothas, this is sure to be an event I don't think I'm going to miss, and if you're down south you shouldn't either. Thanks for the tip Stan!

DAG...that's a hell of a statement to make....having a black 'pride' event in the midst of a major football game. Whooeee i wish i could be there to see the heads turn and mouths drop.

Have fun while you're out there, but please take care of yourself. You never know how some drunken fools are gonna react.
