So last night after a long day at work Travis and I decided to go out to Club 708 in midtown. Thursday nights at this club is well known for the live male and female strip shows, and what a show it is, but I digress.

Upon leaving the parking lot we had to cross the street in order get to the entrance of the club, as we stepped into the street both feet in front of us and looking both ways, a Toyota 4 Runner begins to back up and nearly run us over. Now you know I was starting to get a little pissed at the driver for not paying attention to what "he" was doing and I was about to let all of my color come out!

Until "he" stuck his head out of the window to apologize and revealed "he" was not a man at all but the beautiful and talented India Arie ! Now imagine me in the middle of the street about to lose my mind! I was screaming inside but no sound would come out of my mouth. All I wanted her to do was hit us so the 5 seconds we shared could be extended for a longer period of time! I would just make her play the guitar and sing to me right there in the middle of the street all night.

Now that was a beautiful surprise, and just when I thought my night couldn't get any better I got pulled over by the cops for speeding on my way home. I was driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. So he promptly wrote me a speeding ticket and sent me on my way reminding me I had 30 days to get Georgia plates and driver's license, yeah right! Welcome to Atlanta !

Now that would have been some ish...getting gully on India.Arie LOL. I'm glad you decided to think before you speak, or else you might have ended up in a headline...

"News at 11: Enraged Negro verbally accosts popular singer at a local gay nightspot." TOO MUCH!

Now my question is....what was India.Arie doing in such close vicinity to Club 708? Do I sense a little "T" in the midst, hmm??? How u doin!??

She was probably leaving Apache Cafe across the street from 708. If you havent gone, please do- its awsome. I remember one time I was there and she was standing right next to me before she got on stage to sing. I wanted to be such a groupie like "I love your music" but I couldnt.
