The wait is almost over for you die-hard Project Runway fans. After months of legal wrangling the hit designer show leaves Bravo for its new home on Lifetime and a new cast of talented designers.

One designer that I think readers of this blog might want to look out for is Minneapolis based designer Ra'Mon-Larence Coleman. Coleman is one of three people of color chosen for Project Runway's six season, it remains to be seen if he will be one of the usual openly gay designers.

A former med student, Coleman credits his early interest in the human body from a medical perspective for his seamless transition into understanding the "drape and flow" from a fashion perspective.

"I aspire to be the next great black American designer", says Coleman in his audition tape for Project Runway. It's really important to me to be one of those very few notable African-American designers this country has so someone can look up to me and say if he did it so can I, he added.

Coleman describes his style as "beautifully chaotic". One can never guess who will come out on top on Project Runway but Coleman has given me another reason to tune in when Project Runway season 6 premieres August 20th on Lifetime.

Get into Ra'Mon-Lawrence Coleman's audition video below:
