The world wide web is quickly becoming the go-to place for content geared towards gay men of color. With very few shows on major networks that deal explicitly with the lives of black gay men and lesbians, many of us have taken to blogs or YouTube to create media that reflects our experience. Well now you can add "The Mocha Lounge" on AfterElton.com to your daily blog visits.

Hosted by Rob Smith (I Want To Work for Diddy) and Ramone Johnson(About.com gay lifestyle writer) the new online show aims to discuss all of the topics important to gay men of color that are routinely overlooked by the mainstream media. The show is broken down into four parts; The Must List, Catch A Case, What's New With Us, and What's The Q?

On the first episode the guys discuss the new LOGO basketball reality series Shirts & Skins and the importance of D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty and Governors David Paterson(NY) and Deval Patrick's (MASS) support of same sex marriage. The guys also delve into the nature vs nurture debate over the cause of homosexuality and gives viewers an opportunity to weigh in on the discussion.

I'm excited to see what Rob and Ramone has in store for us as well as too see how the video blog will evolve over time. I'll be checking in on the fellas and hopefully you will too. Get into the first episode of "The Mocha Lounge" below.

Thanks for the info. LGBT folks of color are definitely short-changed. It's nice to see we are starting to take care of ourselves. BTW, I love your blog, but noticed there is no link to Toddy English. Check him out!

Cool show and everything, but you really need to take this off of autoplay if you can. This loud ass dude scared the hell out of me when I opened the page.

Sorry guys. To be honest it was annoying the hell out of me too. Lol!- couldn't figure out how to disable the auto-play. Will take it down later and provide a link. Thanks!
