I'm sure many of you went to the movies this past weekend to see Why Did I Get Married? if you were able to get tickets. Congrats to Tyler Perry and his brilliant cast for having the number one movie this weekend at the box office . Hollywood keeps under estimating Tyler's work but he delivers his best work to date with this movie. Instead of writing the usual review I decided to make a video blog. Get ready to follow Trey and I as we journey to see Why Did I Get Married at Atlantic Station in Atlanta and my thoughts on the film afterwards.

This has got to be an exciting time in Tyler Perry's life. While there are so many people rooting for him there's a ton of people waiting and even planning his demise. Check out this message to his fans after the box office numbers started to roll in. Enjoy the movie and my review !

I saw it! The movie was great!

HOWEVER, is it me, or is Tyler loosing his memory of not allowing cursing in his movie? I mean, he wanted to do "Christian" theme movies, but I heard a lot of cussing! What's that about, Tyler?

I really enjoyed watching this. great enthusiasm in your deliverance. Funny thing is the comment you made in the last min and 25 seconds would have wrapped up the whole thing for me. That is the moment that captured my attention because I realized in that moment what was real about the movie for you, and that is what I was most interested in hearing! Keep up the GREAT WORK! peace and love! MARCUStv

Everyone keeps talking about Jill Scott as the scene stealer, but what they see as scene stealing, I see as a reheash of Miss Celie/Miss Sofia from The Color Purple. The real scene stealer was Janet Jackson in the kitchen scene with Malik Yoba. Her intensity was remarkable.

I see many of us have really low standards....

anyways, I enjoyed the story...BUT Janet and Jill were HORRIBLE. Janet couldn't even squeeze out a tear until the end of the movie. And what the hell was going on with her hair?

Ugh!!

Well Keisha I think you're the first person that I've come across that didn't like the film. You're entitled to your opinion but Jill and Janet may be a lot of things but they were definitely not horrible in the movie. The reviews and the box office numbers prove it.
