The boys in New York City are getting ready to put a very different twist on ABC's popular daytime talk show The View . Clay Cane , Nathan Seven Scott, Nathan Hale Williams and others will be discussing relationships in our community at NY's LGBT Community Center on November 10th.

This is sure to be one great event. I'm overdue for a trip to New York. After I submit my article to Dwight on Wednesday I'm gonna need to celebrate.

I think I feel a last minute trip to the city coming on. But how in the hell am I gonna get the time off of work? Ummm....I think I feel sick! Lol !

On the real, someone should film that and post the video on YouTube for us folks stuck in the ridiculously drab Midwest.

On defense...

Clay is a great guy, he actually came to my birthday party last year... his play was amazing... I love his outlook on life.

Jared is my boy! Amazing mind and great speaker!

Nathan is the sweeteset and most talented and harworking man I know in the Black Gay Party Circuit!

Derrick is my big brother...He has a heart that can change lives.

Raymond is a great poet, and has a great spirit.

While I don't know Nathan, I have seen his acting skills, he is quite funny!

So I think they are by far not "tired queens"

From Jared in response to anonymous' post:

Did someone just call me a tired Queen? Hold The F*@^ up!!!!!!

Naw a tired Queen would go off. I'm a gay Black man! Ironic that post comes from anonymous! I've come to realize, that young black men, not just gay. Need mentors to that continue to take the High Road. We trail blaze for you, so you can take it upon yourself to try your finest to walk in the light. I do what I do, to encourage, to provide, to get out of this box, we have been so painstakingly placed in!

“Anonymous” if you like. I see that you need an upgrade, and maybe a embrace. Its whatever. But know only positive things come from this brother. I can be reached out Jared.Shuler@gmail.com. Come build with me.

I've learned not to justify the anonymous commenter...

This is something that I would like to see. While I'm not familiar with everyone on the panel, it looks as if it's an eclectic makeup of men that represent the gay black experience from one end of the spectrum to the other.

I think it makes a statement-that we can unify on some level to be progressive and thought provoking.

Much Love!
