The boy's of Noah's Arc are back for a second season on Logo, and last night the cast, creator, and hundreds of fans came out in support of the groundbreaking series at Club Metro in West Hollywood.
The evening was organized by Ivan Daniel Productions and included an A- List of black celebrities. Most of the cast was in attendance minus Christian Vincent(Ricky) and Doug Spearman(Chance). Wilson Cruz (Junito), Victoria Rowell (Guest Actor, Young and the Restless), and Keith Hamilton Cobb(Guest Actor) were also in attendance.
I swear I have never been this excited for an event since the last Janet Jackson concert. You would've thought someone had given me a front row ticket at the last minute to a sold out show !
The premiere episode entitled "Housequake" delivers on all of the promises for a much tighter show as far as the writing, acting, and depth of the characters are concerned.
The highlight of the night for me(besides my photo ops with the cast) was winning a cool gift bag that included the first season DVD and a host of LOGO paraphernalia. Thanks Patrick for asking a trivia question I knew the answer too! "What is the name of Alex's business"? Answer: The Black Aids Institute.
I think it's so important that black gay men are not only represented in the media but accurate portrayals of us are presented. Noah's Arc is so important because for the first time I can look up on the screen and see characters
who mirror my life and the lives of my friends.
Look for my review of each episode with my friend Steven at
pinkmafiaradio over the next few days.
Below are some pics of me and the gorgeous cast. Enjoy !
