The world was stunned by the tragic suicide of entertainer Marie Osmond's 18-year old adopted son Michael Osmond who jumped to his death from the eighth floor of his apartment building on the 900 block of S. Flower St. in Los Angeles on February 26.

The media has reported Michael suffered from severe depression but a new report from People Magazine Daily is implying the teenager's depression and suicide was brought on by his internal conflict over his sexuality and Mormon church teaching on homosexuality.

From People Magazine Daily:

“I think Michael was distraught because he was conflicted over his sexuality and didn’t believe he could ever come out as a gay man to his religious Mormon family,” said a family insider to the National Enquirer.

"We are reporting on this subject because we believe it can raise awareness about suicide and help people accept other people regardless of their sexuality," notes People Magazine Daily in what is sure to be a controversial angle to this tragic story.

In related news, actress/comedienne Roseanne Bar lashed out against the Mormon Church for it's homophobia and Marie Osmond for continuing to support the Mormon church despite having a lesbian daughter and possibly a gay deceased son.

From Roseanne World.com

"Marie Osmond's poor gay son killed himself because he had been told how wrong and how sick he was every day of his life by his church and the people in it. Calling that 'depression' is a lie! Yet the Osmonds still talk lovingly about their church, saying nothing about its extremely anti-gay Crusade. Marie also has a gay daughter!

"Hey, I want her and all the gay kids in the world to know that they are just fine being gay and that they deserve love and respect instead of insults and rebuke! I have gay people in my family and my circle of friends and I am kicking bigot ass and taking names! That is how its done in my religion---(I have my own religion that I made up for myself and it is a great religion that actually works and respects facts and not fantasy!)

"Yet even though the people they say they love the most in all of their public displays and speeches (THEIR KIDS AND FAMILY!!) are gay,-- their own children, for crying out loud- these people cannot find the Christian decency and compassion within themselves to stop their hypocritical gay bashing!! How sickening. I know so many Mormon kids who were gay and committed suicide, and I just cannot and will not stay quiet in order to not offend bigots anymore. It is all so terribly depressing.

"Marie please don't talk about how your faith in your church has helped you get through this one! Please get some integrity and tell that church of yours that you will leave it and stop giving it ten percent of your money if they don't stop trying to destroy your kids' and all gay people's civil rights and dreams and hopes!!"-Roseanne Barr

This is tragic beyond words. It makes my heart sink. Rosanne has pretty much taken the words out of my mouth.

Roseanne is my girl, but on this one she should've stayed in her lane. Not that I disagree with her views, but I do think Marie and her family need time to grieve before we start calling folks out. I'm just saying...can we at least wait for the funeral first? It's possible Marie didn't know her son was gay, and, from what it sounds like, he was on the verge of coming out. Maybe if they had a discussion about the church's views vs. his sexuality, then she might have had some second thoughts about her religion.

Then again, I had no clue she had a lesbian daughter.

GO ROSEANNE!!! OFF with their heads!

Here's a novel idea: STOP FOLLOWING MYTHS! One led straight to this young man's death. People need to use their own brains to leave stupidity behind.

Black same-and-any-gender-loving peoples, are you listening?
