Our favorite "ex-gay" behind Donnie McClurkin (no pun intended) J-Elijah who was featured on loldarian.com recently in an asinine interview detailing his "freedom" from homosexuality during a stop in Jamaica has returned with some advice for all of us gays who want to leave our dirty little lifestyle.
In a recent interview with anti-gay website Gay Christian Movement Watch J-Elijah offered up these words of advice to anyone struggling to leave homosexuality. Get ready to protect your keyboard or either laugh out loud.
"The best way to leave the lifestyle behind is to finally become dissatisfied and fed up, like, “I can’t live like this anymore. I’ve got to get out of this. I’ve got to stop this.” You’ve got to be like, “Nah, I can’t do this anymore.” Leave your partners. Don’t answer their late night phone calls, emails, etc. Refuse them and refuse yourself. Want more out of life. Know that the Lord has more for you. He’s got a purpose that is beyond your fleshly desires.
The internet is a powerful resource. Look up websites and books about repenting from homosexuality. Join a support group, which I highly recommend, become part of a network that will pray for you and love you through."
Yes J-Elijah the internet is a powerful resource. So how are those profiles on Black Gay Chat and Adam 4 Adam working out for ya? I'm sure they're resulting in quite a few late-night phone calls. SMH

J-Elijah thinks, just because he "became fed-up", being gay isn't for him. To me, it sounds like he FORCED himself to be fed-up. Dissatisfaction is suposed to come naturally. If LGBT people are "fed-up", then it's because of the homophobia.
I notice he uses the words "gay" and "lifestyle" in conjunction. How dare he or anyone else diminish being gay to just a lifestyle?
Also, the part about "fleshly desires" has got to be a joke. He's sending the message that gay people are only interested in sex.
You can do all you can to refrain from gay sex, but it doesn't change the fact that you are gay/bi.
It's people like J-Elijah that make it hard for gay people because he's making homphobes feel justified in their homophobia. If this guy is an ex-gay then surely one can change their being gay, right? WRONG.
I doubt that he really is no longer gay, but even if there is a fraction of a chance that he is now straight, he should focus on himself and stop bringing down gay people who are happy within themselves. He's still gay anyway and forever will be.

I really feel sorry for these gay people out here who let these holier-than-thou christian hypocrites shame them into hating themselves, forcing them to go through all kind of voodoo like rituals to turn themselves straight. If they could just learn to accept themselves for who our Father in heaven intended for them to be, I think they'd find they would be much happier.

Just because you're celibate does not mean you aren't gay. I'm not having sex right now...I am still fruity.
