Since I rarely use profanity on this blog I will refrain from writing any commentary on this testimony because expletives are outweighing my intelligence right now. Watch it for yourself and get ready to hurl.

Don't worry. I'm not sure it possible for us to be hurt by this. This woman is clearly not using her better judgement, and I wouldn't be surprised if she lost her job. Thanks Darian. Wow. Just wow.

Thanks Darian for posting this.
Her "argument" had nothing to do at all with same sex marriage or equality in general, but rather using the same lame scare tactics that have no merit.
For them, same sex marriage opponents uses two main pawns to try and drive the message of their cause: Children & Blacks
EVEN when Catania pulled up the school curriculum AND the wording of the proposed law and slayed her with it, she STILL wasn’t able to counter argue the facts nor bring a substantial argument to support her testimony.
This goes way beyond just basic ignorance to me. This is outright bigotry and its shameful that many of our people are willing to accept and almost ignore this level of misinformation and hatred being freely spewed without being checked.
This statement may sound a little harsh, but I have to call it for what it is because this SHOULD anger a lot of black men.
Dr. Jacobs basically stated in a roundabout way that gay black men are basically nothing more than a form of bio-terrorists walking around infecting people as a reasoning of justification that the GLBT community AS A WHOLE should not have equal rights!
(maybe I was looking more into her statements for more than what it was, but that's what I got out of it)
And for those who like to use the "race" argument; had this same woman said something similar about the black community as a whole that was even remotely biased and/or false there would have been an IMMEDIATE uprising from all sorts of Black organizations and groups calling her to denounce her statements. Yet, she skewers gay black men as walking murderers who shouldn’t be seen as equal in society and we're silent.

Exactly! What you got out of it is ENTIRELY CORRECT. The question I have is, where are the black gay men in Washington DC? Why can't they stand up for themselves?

This is not going to happen because MOST straight black people AGREE with this woman. She is repeating something she has probably heard many times from the straight BLACK women she knows and/or works with.

I called Dr. Jacobs tonight and got the most dumb-azz responses. I think she's friends with Rev. Henry "Jackazz" Jackson. I wrote about our conversation on my blog. Thanks for bringing Dr. Ruth to my attention.

You cannot mess with David Catania. Everyone that has come up against him he has hsut down. As for Dr. Jacobs, if she really is an HIV specialist and taking care of patients I can't believe that her practice will make it into the new year if enough people see this. Everyone that has come out to this event speakinng against gay marriage did themselves a disservice by show up.

Well, I guess its good that at least White gay males seem to have the cure for AIDS, since all you ever hear about is how we Black gay males are spreading it. Perhaps you snowqueens who are stepping on the toes of MOC to get next to any and every White boy can do one teeny tiny favor for us Black men, who, lo and behold, actually enjoy the company of other Black men. While you are laying all up under your WB of the week, find out what the cure is.
Then, as an act of goodness towards
Black men (could actually be your first one!) pass the cure on to us.

The "cure" for HIV/AIDS is real simple. Stop having unprotected sex.

Why are you so fascinated with black gay men who are attracted to white gay men? Maybe they're looking for something they're NOT FINDING in black gay men.

I don't know but Dr. Jacobs to me is another SNL comedian. Her segment played out as a skit, avoiding the facts to talk about men putting dicks in asses. I don't know about anyone else but I was getting turned on by her pounding those words (anal sex,enter/exit penis/anus) I guess I'm doing selective listening like Dr. Jacobs. Enjoyed this round!
