I intentionally choose not to write about celebrity gossip or rumors, but this is one rumor I'm sure many same gender loving brothers wouldn't mind being true. Take it as pure entertainment. Loldarian.com favorite Braylon Edwards has the internet message boards buzzing regarding his alleged homosexuality.
Via Outsports:
This is not a new rumor, but the latest “evidence” was this post Monday on a Browns message board affiliated with Fox Sports. Edwards had been the subject of trade talks with the New York Giants that never went anywhere:
First of all, let me start out with the fact that I think this is ridiculous. I have a friend who is inside the NY Giants and this morning I talked to him about the draft and the subject of Edwards came up.
No lie, he said that there was a big concern how he would fit in the locker room because a lot of people thought he was gay. He said that for some reason a good deal of the players believe that Braylon is gay and that is why he wants to go to New York (because it is a better atmosphere for homosexuals) and this has actually come up as a concern within the Giants in trading for him.
And of course no gay rumor is complete without the help of the infamous gossip site Media Take Out.com . Pictures posted last May of Edwards in a "compromising position" with a hot male friend only added fuel to the fire.
So is Braylon Edwards gay? Who knows, but I sure wouldn't mind if he had a soft spot for the fellas.

Perfect illustration of the need and validity of the closet. If the story is true, his career is already being hampered by rumors of his sexuality. (New York not wanting to sign him because of "beliefs" that he is gay). Imagine if he actually is gay and came out?
The closet is and will always be a necessary tool to sustain a good living for some gay men.

one day, one day...this won't be such an issue. but, that day won't come until someone stands up. money is great. power is great. but is it really worth it when you're completely unhappy? or at least partially? i'm not commenting on Braylon b/c I don't know. however, i will say that the time is now......that damn closet door. glad i finally busted it down....

Its cool if he is, its that brothers life and business. Braylon's play has been dropping somewhat the past 2 seasons. I say that to make a point, if he was still as explosive and highly coveted like a T.O. or Chad Johnson, then rumors aside, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, any team would pick him up. No, the pic's of him extra close to an obviously gay dude that was posted on mediatakeout does not help his case to the MASCULINITY CLUB of the NFL. People can not say this is not an issue, it is an issue, because you cannot make someone like or accept your preferences. The majority rules and majority are not Gay or Gay friendly. In his profession, he has to play by those rules. Now if he can get Kellum Winslow the ex Cleveland Browns Tight End to Play On Our Team, oh and Santonio Holmes of the Steelers..we would be o.k...deuces
