The amazingly talented Cynthia Nixon(aka Miranda) took home the 2006 Tony award for best actress for her performance in the broadway play Rabbit Hole on Sunday night in New York. Although her win received a lot of attention, I was struck more by the affection she showed her obvious lesbian date for the evening by giving her a warm kiss once her name was announced.

Cynthia has dodged questions about her sexuality in the press for years. I guess she's choosing to go the Rosie O'Donnell route pre same -sex weddings in San Francisco, it seems to be an unspoken truth.

Gay or straight one thing is for sure, she is a brilliant actress.
