National Black Arts Festival:Creative Dance Outlet of Brooklyn
Hands down one of the best modern dance companies I've ever seen next to the Alvin Ailey Company. Creative Outlet Dance of Brooklyn stopped through Atlanta last weekend for two special performances during the National Black Arts Festival. The comapny was founded by Jamel Gaines in 1992 and wasn't even on my radar until I was fortunate enough to see them perform live at the Rialto theater in downtown Atlanta. It was an evening that I will not forget for a long time. Many thanks to my dear friend Tramaine for inviting me and to the dancers for inspiring me to get back to utilizing my gift. Check out the pictures from the show, none of which I'm in, now that's a first. LOL !
