R&B sex crooner of the moment Trey Songz couldn't be bothered by the persistent gay rumors and he recently appeared on Sirius XM's The Morning After with Angela Yee to refute the rumors.

"You know in this world today you gotta ignore ignorance and you gotta ignore stuff like that being an artist. People are gonna say things about me daily. It's always something new about Trey Songz. The bigger I get the more shit pop up and it's cool with me...I'm so far from gay".

Sadly, after having the privilege of being in Trey Songz' presence for an extended period of time I believe him. As bad as I want him to bat for our team I think the ladies have this one. Now someone just needs to ask him if there's any possibility of him being bisexual. Let me stop!

Get into the interview in the clip below:

I honestly don't see why he needs to explain who he is. Just be.

I think too often gay people want to make these hot young male hiphop/rap artists gay or bisexual and look for anything that strays away from the norm. If they take racy pics like Trey or show any sexual energy between them like Bow Wow and Omarion or if they are pretty bois who don't seem to have a problem with having a gay following like Chris Brown or Raz B people are going to think they're gay. While I believe there are male hiphop/rap artists who kick it with other males until we have first hand knowlege anyone will be suspect.

I see what you mean, Cleon. But honestly, thats not fair to gay or bisexual people. No one says straight people want to make hot young male artists straight because its ok to assume that they are. I don't think gay people look at them any differently. "We" lust for them and fantasize that we can have them. So do women. It just so happens that 9 times out of ten they are right.

Meanwhile, and NOT in reference to your post, I find it equally not fair when gay people are labeled as too sexual for lusting over hot stars. No one says straight teens are too sexual for their desires. Infact, that's written off as healthy. Unconnected, but something equally bothersome to me.

There's nothing wrong with fantasizing but somewhere along the way fantasies seem to get the best of some people and rumors are created. But gays aren't the people who stereotype and start rumors about other peoples sexuality.
