Gay author M.W. Moore(For What I Hate I Do) made an appearance in Atlanta over the weekend at Outwrite Bookstore and Coffehouse during a stop on his promotional tour for his new novel An About Face. Loldarian.com affiliate and blogger Lonnell Williams was in attendance and captured Moore on video as he read from his novel and shared real life events that inspired his popular trilogy.

A college educated NCAA track star, Moore's life took an unfortunate detour as he became immersed in a life of crime, drugs, and sexual addiction. After being encouraged to write his thoughts down in a journal while serving 6 1/2 of a 15 year sentence in the Texas State Penitentiary for bank robbery, Moore later used those entries as the springboard for his first novel, For What I Hate I Do and the subsequent follow ups Internal Chaos and his latest An About Face.

Moore is brutally honest about his life behind bars, prison sex, his ongoing struggle to accept his sexuality, and living with HIV, a consequence of his sexual addiction and failing to practice safe sex consistently.

"My writing is all about releasing or unveiling behaviors, but I had to start with myself," said Moore.

"During my incarceration time of 6 1/2 years I was able to actually confront a lot of things about myself because I had a lot of time. I decided that I wasn't gonna sit around and play dominoes and smoke dope and masturbate and fuck every guy on my cell block. Instead what I'll do is come up with a plan and a vision of how I was gonna better myself while I was there."

Raw. Real. Uncensored. M.W. Moore's trilogy is now on my must read list. Get into Lonnell Williams' amazing footage of Moore in the YouTube video below.
