It's official. RuPaul's Drag Race is a hit for LOGO and I'm addicted to the show. Earlier this week the first drag queen supermodel of the world stopped by The View to chat with the ladies about his new reality show and why he seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth until recently.

Barbara Walters: For the past eight years you pretty much dropped out of the drag world. Why? And I hope you made enough the last nine years without doing this. What made you stop?

RuPaul:That's a great question because politically and socially in this country it'd become very hostile towards drag...especially to gay men who do drag. For Tyler Perry, Eddie Murphy, or Martin Lawrence it was fine.

Barbara Walters: But they're in a film and they're in limited time.

RuPaul: And they're straight.

Barbara Walters: So you're saying you stoped because of George Bush?

RuPaul: Partially, yes. We became sort of held hostage by this fear hysteria in this country. And gender issues as it pertains to men and femininity have to go underground because nobody wants to hear from a man prancing around in a dress when the country is involved in this fear hysteria.

RuPaul also had some very interesting dialogue with resident Republican idiot Elisabeth Hasselback in regards to the end of the "era of the bimbo" in the White House. Michelle Obama and RuPaul rocks!

LOVEEE IT! I LOVE RUPAUL out of Drag. Especially on the show. I also like how he explained that once we get out of the shower we are all in "drag" and that is very true. RuPaul is still a wonderful looking man at the end of the day and its good to see him discuss the issue of fear hysteria. I also love how he boosted up First Lady Michelle and how one of the women on the view (the young blonde one) was trying to stick up for Mrs. Laura Bush. Did you all catch that? Lol.
