Over the past few days I've noticed that a story I reported on this site on January 7th has picked up steam and is being reported all over the blogosphere as well as the gay press including The Washington Blade. I'm able to track where the traffic is coming from to my site through Sitemeter and I cannot begin to tell you how many people are googling for information on Bishop Alfred Owens and his most recent church scandal.

I received some of the worst hate mail in the history of this blog after I broke this story. And now almost a month later the world is taking notice and as far as I can tell few people seem to remember where they read it first given the lack of links back to the original post.

I would normally let something like this slide, but in the words of Erykah Badu, "Keep in mind that I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my s**t"! LOL!

I'm just saying.

If it means anything, it's not the first time in which a major media organization or major league blogger for that matter has taken credit for someone else's work, and it won't be the last.
