A young lesbian couple at Waukegan High School in Illinois were recently voted "cutest couple" by their peers and their yearbook carried a photo of the two embracing cheek to cheek, obviously overjoyed by their relationship and the honor bestowed upon them by their classmates. Well it didn't take long for right-wing pundit Bill O'Reiley to attack the character of these girls and what he calls "overt and inapropriate sexual conduct".

There is no other Republican pundit that gets my blood boiling like O'Reiley, but for the first time all I could do was laugh at how ignorant, archaic, and misleading his views are. He and President Bush are exactly alike because they rarely exercise common sense and they consistently cater to fear.

I guess there is no men in Waukegan, I been there for court and I swear it's a ghost town. These girls are forced in being lesbians because they think they're in love...sad picture of our future reality unless something change.

How is this picture inapropriate? They aren't doing anything at all. it just looks like two best friends taking a picture together.

Because they are gay, that instantly means they are having sex because we all know that all hetero high school couples wait until marriage before they have "inappropriate" behavior. Gay people are such whores that they are always having sex. Two gay people can't just 'date' and not shift things to the sexual level. Oh no. Can't do that. We must drop our pants as soon as we get get alone.

And of course the lack of men in Waukegan is a factor. No men? No problem! I got 'chu, gurrl! That's why they are gay, yep. No men. Just import a bunch of testosterone filled dudes in to Waukegan and it's on an poppin'.

Sheesh. If I had a nickel for every woman who looked at me like I was happy meal on a plate, I'd be rich. Surely there is no lack of available females in my universe, yet here I am: gay. Go fig.

In my midwestern city, most of the black gay men I know and see about town are not in long-term relationships. The black gay men I see who are in seemingly solid relationships are usually (not always, but usually) with white gay men. I don't have a problem with interracial gay relationships, but I'm just saying. I know there are exceptions, but from where I sit it is not a common thing for two black gay men to be in a long term relationship together.
