Ms. Oprah Winfrey will take a look inside the world of transgender children on today's (Friday Sep.28) show. I've not always felt Oprah has been an ally for the LGBT community , so it will be interesting to see how she approaches this complex subject. As we know Oprah has the power to change the hearts and minds of millions of people, so hopefully today's show will educate the masses on what it's like to be born in the wrong body. Check your local listings for showtimes and make sure to visit the message board after the show because the homophobes sure will.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday !

You know, I love me some Oprah. But throughtout the years she has not rallied or really even touched on same gender loving issues. SHe's touched on everything else 20 times already but she rarely does anything about the Homos.

Probably because she doesn't want to do the same talk show trash that Jerry, Ricki and Rolanda do/did. I mean, I'd rather her not talk about same sex issues if she's not going to bring up something interesting.

I don't care about some dude with a pixelated face and altered voice, talking about how he has sex with judges and basketball players. I recall way back in the 80s she had a guest on who was talking about the 'high power' males he was having sex with. That's old.

I'd rather her have more people on like Don Amechei or Esera Tuaolo, but who are not celebrites. You know, just some regular average joe men who just happen to be gay but do not have their gayness their reason for living.

And she can just stop with "DL Men" on her show. We do not need another JL King type episode. If anything, that just made things worse. I know women who passed their video tape of that show around like a porno in a college dorm who before, barely ever watched her show, my mom being one of them.

Anyway, I find it interesting that Oprah seemed surprised that someone as young as 6 or 7 knew they were in the wrong body or that they were gay at an early age. And her hair dresser and make up artist are gay and SHE doesn't know that? Well, I guess that does not a fag hag make, but still. I'd think someone who has talked to thousands of people would be more clued in than that.
