Poor Ted Haggard. Everytime I read an article or see a news story about his fall from grace , I can't help but laugh and say "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".

This incident just proves my point that internalized homophobia is alive and well and only leads to self destruction.

A part of me wants to sympathize with Pastor Haggard because I know first hand how difficult it can be to come to terms with your sexuality, but on the other hand he is the epitome of hypocrisy and it turns my stomach.

The male escort who outed him reportedly did so because Haggard spoke openly against gay marriage, but was involved in a 3 year sexual relationship with him.

Recently Haggard wrote a letter of apology to his congregation asking for forgiveness from his indiscretions.

I'm a firm believer that "what's done in the dark will come into the light". Let's be real for a minute, the real reason why he's in this mess is because he didn't feel he could serve God and the church because of his sexual orientation. He allowed religious oppression to lead him to surpress what was natural for him to play a role that was unauthentic and would eventually lead to his downfall, meanwhile preaching against the very thing he was...a homosexual.

Now he has been turned over to Dr. James Dobson of the radical anti-gay group Focus on The Family and other ministers in an attempt to " de-gay" him.

The poor man was already in a state of inner turmoil now he just may be suicidal after they're done with him. I wonder what their method of treatment is going to be, prayer and fasting or the good ol" electric shock?

I swear, it's hard out here for the DL preacher nowadays.
