If you were not able to make it to Atlanta for the 10th anniversary Black Gay Pride Celebration, then hopefully the pictures above will give you a glimpse into the events that took place over labor day weekend.

I don't think I've ever seen so many beautiful black men in one place, talk about overwhelming ! Their were people from all across the country who attended 3 days of workshops, film festivals, and of course the parties.

One thing that struck me over the weekend was the love that was in the air. There was no shadiness, just a huge group of people who came to celebrate their blackness and sexuality for everyone to witness.

It was my first black gay pride event and I was not dissapointed. I wish I would've had the chance to attend the huge party at the convention center, but at $40.00 bucks a head I decided to pass. It's ok you can call me cheap, I'll be that. But my car will be filled with gas on that $40.00 bucks.

Besides, I still don't know where in the hell I'm going in this city yet. I spent most of the weekend getting lost and finding my way again. If you ever visit Atlanta brace yourself for the multiple Peachtree streets. It's the most confusing thing I've ever seen! I digress.

Pride was a blast, I'm looking forward to next year.

YES! Pride weekend was definitely a blast. I will forever remember all of the hot mess and comedy that ensued in Lenox Square mall and the parking lot at Bulldogs. I can still taste those chicken wings. Piedmont Park was a blast as well, I wish you could have been there with me to see...baby it was a beautiful thing seeing so many people chillin and celebrating together. Next time, right?

Now you know I'm gonna need some of those pictures...with my defunct camera toting ass :)
